One More Round

One More Round places the player in control of one of the many denizens of the unsettling demonic realm known as “The Abyss”. This demon works as a dealer at a casino within the human realm, aiming to lure gamblers into addiction, and steal their soul.

Every day you return to the casino to corrupt and steal souls, but simultaneously you learn about the people those souls belong to. Afterwards your shift at the casino, return to the Abyss and spend the souls you’ve stolen as currency to explore demonic society, before heading to sleep. Repeating this day to day will have the player naturally exploring the various NPC storylines, both human and demon.

As you learn more about the humans, you’ll inevitably have to choose between doing your job and stealing their soul, or playing into human morality by sparing them day after day to watch their story fully unfold.

The underlying moral framework within One More Round is the conflict between the morals of demonic society and real world human values. The player as an entity will generally fall within human moral values, but when playing the game will have to suspend those values to step into the role of the demon. As those moral lines blur the player is faced with choosing what to prioritize, fully dedicating to a demonic run cuts short the human stories, but sparing every human leaves any curiosity about the abyss unanswered.
