Corrupted Chateau takes inspiration from eldritch horror, and melds it with a 2d platformer.

I would describe my role as the director of Corrupted Chateau. As development started my main job was synthesizing all of the ideas coming from the team together into one cohesive vision. To convey that vision, I assisted the art team in finding an appropriate art style and created the world layout and initial concepts for room designs. Afterward, I shifted focus towards composing music for the game that would capture the intended atmosphere, as well as checking in on the teams, and providing assistance where it was needed. The result is a game that the entire team is quite proud of given the short development cycle. There were concepts that we wanted to implement, such as optional mini-bosses with power-ups, however, we ended up cutting these ideas fairly early on to ensure we didn’t over-scope the project.
